Ben Gac is a Registered Piano Technician, a member of the Piano Technician's Guild, and a
graduate of the critically acclaimed Chicago School for Piano Technology. Based in Oak Park, IL,

Many technicians claim to be "certified" or "professional" piano tuners, but it doesn't mean that
they are qualified to work on your piano! Ben has achieved Registered Piano Technician (RPT)
status in his profession; he has passed a series of rigorous examinations testing his knowledge
and skills in tuning, repair, and regulation of the modern piano. As an RPT, he is more than just
any piano tuner; he holds to an exceptionally high standard of quality, business practices, and
ethics.

Ben does work for a number of distinguished venues in Oak Park, Chicago, and the surrounding
suburbs. A few of them include the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Steinway Piano of Chicago,
Pianoforte Chicago, and the Wheaton Conservatory of Music. His tunings have been heard in
performances broadcasted on WFMT, Chicago’s classical music radio station, as well as at
Lollapalooza, Chicago's annual rock music festival (most recently, Ben tuned for U2 when they
came through Chicago). Ben has also spent time studying at the Tanglewood Music Festival in
western Massachusetts as a piano technician intern. Ben has also recently joined the faculty of
the Chicago School for Piano Technology to teach the Advanced Tuning Curriculum.
Ben travels to his clients' homes, to concert venues, churches, schools, universities and more to
